At WestOne Cars we are committed to the use of leading edge technologies which have the benefit of increasing productivity and improving levels of customer service.

We have an ongoing programme, which continuously reviews the technologies we deploy to ensure they are the most appropriate and are matched to our customers business needs.

Existing technologies include systems which enable us to optimise productivity from in-house operations and deliver enhanced levels of service from a customer aspect. Our staff are able to see the exact position of each WestOne passenger car and thereby can select the optimum car for the job and give customers accurate details of pick up times.

CarLocator

We have recently launched CarLocator which enables customers to view a real time map position of their car. This means that after the car is allocated to the driver customers can view its position as it moves to collect them. In the event that a colleague wants to see progress of the journey, they too are able to view progress of the car to its destination.

CityTrakkers

GPS enabled mobile data units (CityTrakkers) are deployed to the WestOne Cars fleet of drivers. The driver receives details of their jobs on the CityTrakker, and the pick up and destination address of the passenger. They then confirm their acceptance of the job. All of the information is automatically uploaded onto the WestOne Cars OnLine system on the website for customers to view progress. This can be seen both as a real time map location of the driver and as a time stamped job audit.

Satellite Navigation

Drivers are provided with Satellite Navigation devices which can support them in getting passengers to their destination in the most timely manner.

SMS Text Message

Customers can receive a text message direct to their mobile phone advising them on the arrival of their car, including the model, colour and registration number of your car and your drivers name.

WestOne Cars OnLine

WestOne Cars OnLine is our web based passenger car job booking, tracking and reporting system.

This system enables our customers to book passenger car jobs, access real time updates of driver progress and view time stamped job audits OnLine through our website. OnLine offers customers’ transparency, enhanced speed of booking and, for those who prefer to book OnLine, it replaces the need for telephone calls to book jobs and gain status updates.

WestOne Cars OnLine also offers customers Account Activity Reports that contain comprehensive information on passenger car jobs booked. We will shortly be introducing the facility to make payment by Credit Card, Debit Card and Corporate Purchasing Card through the system.
