The mobile data solution utilises hand held mobile units – CityTrakkers –which are provided to WestOne passenger car drivers. Jobs are despatched to the CityTrakker. Using this hand held device the driver views details of the pick up and destination addresses of the passenger and any additional information, then accepts the job. All of this information is automatically uploaded onto WestOne Cars OnLine system which enables the customer to see when the driver is allocated, the real time map location of the vehicle as it progresses to collection and onward to destination. This leading edge solution provides the customer with complete transparency and peace of mind. The solution has enabled WestOne Cars to improve its customer service as our staff has real time line of site of all WestOne passenger car vehicles and can therefore select the optimum driver for the job and advise Customers accurately of pick up times. Customers can see transparently the exact position of the WestOne Cars driver allocated to them.
